The Golden Washing Machine

Brand story activation
Project Overview: Reinventing Event Engagement with the Golden Washing Machine
When I was tasked with leading the planning for our flagship trade show exhibition of the year, I saw an opportunity to reimagine our existing booth activation. While a prize wheel activation had served us well in past events, it was time for a fresh and engaging update.

Rather than starting from scratch, we identified what made the original activation successful—its speed, visual appeal, and interactive energy—and built on those strengths. The result was the Golden Washing Machine: a dynamic, visually striking installation that not only captured attention but also paid homage to our company’s roots. The concept drew inspiration from our founder’s original cell separation experiment, famously conducted in his mother’s washing machine—a unique and memorable story that helped forge a powerful connection between our brand and our audience.

My Contributions
I led the end-to-end development of the Golden Washing Machine activation, managing both its physical and digital components.

On the physical side—the “hardware”—I coordinated with external partners to transform a real washing machine into a custom-branded display that was both eye-catching and durable for event use.

The next challenge was building the “software” to power the interactive prize game. Using a combination of creative problem-solving and advanced PowerPoint techniques, I developed a randomized prize selection experience that aligned with our vision for fast-paced, high-energy engagement.

By integrating the hardware and software components, we successfully brought the Golden Washing Machine to life. The final product delivered meaningful engagement at our exhibit space, reinforced our brand’s origin story, and seamlessly aligned with the event’s innovation-focused theme.
